Armed with Righteouness - Conference 2014

We are so excited for our upcoming Women's Conference. We will be addressing how to arm yourself with righteousness, and have a variety of speakers talking on how to arm yourself, physically and spiritually. Lunch will be catered, so no assignments there, but we thought we would have a little fun and have a dessert contest for anyone to enter that was interested. 

Here are some of those guidelines...

Make sure it's something that you created, homeade. Submissions will be judged by the sister missionaries that are in attendance that day. 

There will be the following catagories:

Best Over-All

Best Pie

Best Baked Good - cookies or cake, etc.

Creamiest

Choc-olot-iest

Fruitiest

Most Creative

Best in Show (presentation wise)

And we may add another catagory in the next few weeks. We are just wanting sisters to share their favorite sweet treat, with recipes, if you dare!

Stake Sisters Temple Day

Greetings sisters! Happy 2014. We are starting the year off right with having our Stake Sisters Temple Day on Wednesday, February 12th, 2014. So if you'd like to get in to the temple, have your kiddos watched, and have a fantastic lunch, sign up in your local wards to reserve your spot. Or you can just email me at megganboston@gmail.com. 

Babysitting is provided for the 10:30 a.m. session only, and lunch will be in the Relief Society room of the North Stake Center from 11-1. Keep in mind the new babysitting policy of only children 18 months and up, and we have a 40 kid maximum capacity, so reserve your spot soon. First come, first served!

Stake RS Temple Day

August 22 was the most recent Stake RS Temple Day.  It was an amazing experience!  The 10:30am session filled the room...and then some.  Extra chairs were even brought in! We were so grateful to have 50+ sisters in attendance from our stake. 

All attendees at the luncheon received a copy of an article written by Sister Elaine S. Dalton titled 

"Young Women: Modesty Matters". 

This was published in the Church News on Saturday, June 23, 2012 

On the tables was a framed quote that said: 

"MODESTY 

IS AN ATTITUDE OF 

HUMILITY 

AND 

DECENCY IN 

DRESS, 

GROOMING, 

LANGUAGE, AND 

BEHAVIOR." 

"TRUE TO THE FAITH"

Stake RS Temple Day

Come Join us for the Memphis Stake Relief Society Temple Day. 

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012

Sisters are welcome to come for both the 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. sessions.

Babysitting provided for the 10:30 session only!

Lunch will be provided in the Relief Society room of the Stake Center around 11:30, so if you're going to make the 12:30 session come a little early to visit and grab a bite to eat. 

If you are bringing children to the nursery, please make sure to bring them a sack lunch and have all of their items labled. Keep an eye out for signup sheets in your ward so that we can get a head count for the nursery and lunch!

By way of introduction, my name is Michelle Hall (previously Juelfs).  I am the Collierville 2nd Ward RS Secretary and I was asked by Sister Webb a few weeks ago to assist with the Stake RS Blog...so here I am, (finally) getting some information up.  The way this will work is once the posts are up, the secretaries for each ward will receive an email with the information to communicate to their sisters.  :)
